This workshop will explore the caregiver’s perspective on dementia, particularly regarding the challenging behaviors that can manifest with the disease.  Attendees will learn behavior modification techniques and communication skills to use with clients affected by dementia.  Social workers will be able to use these tools in their work with clients who have dementia and as a means of educating caregivers.  This program will also explore the realities of caregiver stress and methods of supporting local and long distance caregivers.  This program is appropriate for social workers with existing knowledge of dementia.

Registration begins at 8:30 am.  Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be offered.
