This seminar is for adult children who are, or will be, helping aging parents move from their home into a living community suited to the parent’s needs.  In this overview you will learn four steps to guide you through the process, gain an understanding of senior housing types, gain ideas on aging in-place and learn strategies to help your parents go through their personal belongings – typically a huge item on the moving to-do list!  There is also a discussion on how to find a new home for a pet that cannot make the move with your parents.

Presented by Kathy Nosal, Realtor®, Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).  Long & Foster, Realtors®, Fairfax, VA. Kathy, along with her two sisters, helped her mother move from the family home into a senior living community and understands this life transition on a personal level.  As a volunteer with Lab Rescue LRCP she knows how important it is to find a new loving home for a pet that can no longer remain with a family.

This seminar is free, open to the public and will be held in the library conference room. Please RSVP to Kathy Nosal, 703-309-9665 or at [email protected].  Seating is limited.  Thank you.
