“Nutrition at the End of Life” CEU Seminar

Food plays an important role in our society. During this one-hour session, address family members’ common concerns that their loved one is “starving” or “wasting away.” Explore the psycho-social aspects of eating and not eating, and join Dr. Geoff Coleman, medical director of Montgomery Hospice, as he discusses how professionals can help patients and families as they experience changes in nutrition at the end of life. Discuss the nutritional challenges in the gravely ill as well as the role of artificial nutrition at the end of life. 1 CEU for social workers.
