Seabury Resources for Aging presents “ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS OF AGING IN PLACE” (Pending 6.0 Category I, Ethics CEU’s for Social Workers). Friday, September 21, 2012 9:00am to 4:30pm REGISTRATION BEGINS AT 8:30AM.. COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE OFFERED.

This presentation will increase social worker’s awareness of the ethical issues that may arise in work with individuals who are aging in place. Aging in place will be examined through a collaboration of perspectives from geriatric care management, senior villages and hospital social work. We will incorporate the NASW Code of Ethics and its application in working with seniors who are aging in place. Ethical considerations such as a client’s right to self determination, capacity and conflict of interest will be addressed. Dialogue about the ethical dilemmas that attendees are facing in their work will be fostered.
