Attendees will learn how to:

• Define depression


• Differentiate between types of depression


• Identify risk factors for depression


• Recognize signs and symptoms of depression


• Relate chronic physical conditions and depression


• Discuss methodologies and tools for diagnosing depression


• Describe treatment options, including medication management

This seminar is approved for two contact hours for nurses and PA social workers.


Understanding Depression in the Elderly has been submitted to the Commission for Case Manager Certification for approval to provide board-certified case managers with two contact hours


Certificates of completion will be issued upon attending at least 85 percent of the activity as well as completing and submitting a program evaluation to the instructor
