The 33rd Annual Celebrate! Gaithersburg Festival will draw an entire community to Gaithersburg’s historic city center. The one-day event is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, 2015, from noon to 5 p.m., and will include multiple stages of live entertainment, food, and themed activity areas for all ages and interests.
Business Expo and Shopping District – Discover valuable services for your life and home. Purchase jewelry, clothing, makeup, accessories, bedding and unique, hand-crafted gifts from a variety of vendors.
Free Kid’s Activities – The annual beach ball pit is a summer fun classic for kids. Prepare for some fun in the sun! Tons of cool stuff for every interest. Bounce on an inflatable, make a fun craft, listen to an interactive story, have your face painted, participate in a scavenger hunt, decorate a martial arts headband, learn how to garden, check-out some native animals, and much, much more!
Steampunk Art and Vendors – part of Olde Towne will be transformed into a Steampunk haven, inspired by Gaithersburg’s historic train station built in 1884. The street will come alive with sculptures, artists and makers, and you can get in on the fun at the Selfie Station.
There’s a lot more to enjoy at Celebrate! Gaithersburg. The free event features Bluegrass legends The Seldom Scene, Dogfish Head beer, a steampunk art exhibit, antique car show, family amusements and activities, and much, much more. To help you navigate and plan your day, a festival App will be available to download before the event. Explore it all at Gaithersburg MD dot gov – keyword Explore.
