Families and caregivers often ask what benefit might be derived from antipsychotic medications in treating the symptoms and behaviors that accompany memory loss. Join us to learn about the efficacy and risks associated with antipsychotic use in older adults, strategies for appropriate use, and non-pharmacological alternatives.

Presented by Elizabeth Galik, PhD, CRNP. Dr. Galik is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Scool of Nursing and maintains a clinical practice in  dementia symptom management at Copper Ridge and Sheppard Pratt.
