I want to live where there are “trick or treaters”
Several years ago I received a call from one of our readers. She and her husband had been to dozens of retirement communities and her comment to me was “I like all of these places, but at the end of the day I want to live in a neighborhood with trick or treaters”. Seeing the jack-o-lanterns on everyones front stoop reminded me of this comment. Although, I havent had it described the same way, I am constantly being challenged by readers on solutions to live a less age-segregated lifestyle.
One creative program that facilitates this in a senior living setting is a “sleepover” for grandchildren. Click here to read The Washington Post article on this concept.
