What’s going to happen to the Baby Boom? Is this controversial generation going to be an albatross around American society’s neck? Will boomers drown the federal budget in red ink? Will intergenerational warfare break out between boomers and their children? For a contrarian (and optimistic) view, Jeff Goldsmith answers these questions and more in his new book, The Long Baby Boom, published this spring by Johns Hopkins University Press.
Jeff Goldsmith is President of Health Futures, Inc. He is also Associate Professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia. For eleven years ending in 1990, Jeff Goldsmith was a lecturer in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, on health services management and policy. He has also lectured on these topics at the Harvard Business School, the Wharton School of Finance, Johns Hopkins, Washington University and the University of California at Berkeley.
