Striking a Balance: Eldercare and the Workplace – Feb. 24
Employees caring for aging parents often find it difficult to balance work, family life and the responsibilities of caregiving. This 1.5 hour workshop will offer new perspectives on aging in our society and answer your questions about eldercare, including:
* Family Dynamics – The burden of care, decision-making and conflict resolution.
* Difficult Choices – Taking the keys away; institutionalized care; end-of-life decisions.
* The Future of Aging – Is there a better way? Alternative views on aging and the impact of the baby boom generation.
This workshop features two leading experts from the Erickson School: internationally-renowned geriatrician Dr. Bill Thomas, author of “What are Old People For?”, and Dr. Judah Ronch, Interim-Dean of the Erickson School and a national expert on dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
Space is limited – Registration deadline is February 19th. If you register for a workshop and your attendance plans change, please let us know. We keep waiting lists for our programs.
