Prince William County, VA Senior Expo

Prince William County, Virginia (October 5, 2011) – The Prince William Senior Resource Group (PWSRG) is putting on the first Senior Expo in the county on November 9, 2011 from 3-6:30 pm at St. Thomas United Methodist Church,  8899 Sudley Road in Manassas.  Admission is free.

Professionals that serve the Prince William senior population will be exhibiting to inform seniors about services available to them.  Senior living options, home health care agencies, investment and wealth advisory services are just some of the types of businesses that will be presented.  There will be door prizes, free blood pressure checks, chair massages, food and beverages.  Continuous seminars will be offerred by the Prince William Area Agency on Aging and The Alzheimer’s Association.

The Expo is expected to draw seniors, their families and care givers from all over the county. “The Senior Expo represents a great opportunity for Prince William County residents to come and see a wide array of dedicated products and services available for them within their community” said Cliff Glier of Touching Hearts at Home, chair person of the event.

The PWSRG is comprised of more than 50 businesses and individuals who serve the needs of seniors in Prince William County and was formed to educate each other about resources available to seniors in the county.  They meet on the second Wednesday of each month at rotating locations.  For more information about the group or to find out where the next meeting will take place, e-mail [email protected]
