People on the Move – Will Nance
SPRINGFIELD, VA (May 30, 2006) — Will Nance, former Associate Executive Director at the Greenspring Retirement Community, was promoted to Executive Director, and will replace Ian Brown, who is moving on to a similar role at the Sedgebrook Retirement Community located just outside of Chicago.
Nance accepted the Executive Director role after spending the past eight years in leadership at Greenspring. For two years, Will served as the Associate Executive Director under Brown and prior to that served as the Director of Marketing for the Springfield, Virginia-based retirement community.
Nance completed his undergraduate work at Auburn University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. Prior to joining Erickson, Nance worked in the President George H.W. Bush Administration and as a Director of Communication for Prison Fellowship Ministries.
“Will has developed a reputation as a caring and capable leader with a keen business acumen and passion for excellence in service,” said Eric Gross, Erickson’s Senior Vice President of Community Operations. “He is well prepared to take on the challenges of executive director and we look forward to his leadership in continuing the success that Greenspring has experienced.”
The search for a new Associate Executive Director at Greenspring is currently being conducted and an appointment announcement will be made when the position is filled.
