People on the Move – Thomas F. Lansdale, III, M.D. has joined Ivory House as its new Medical Director.
Dr. Lansdale is a board certified internist in private practice with an office located on the Greater Baltimore Medical Center campus (GBMC). Dr. Lansdale graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a BA in American history and literature, was an honors medical student at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lansdale has served on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. From 1996-2005, he was the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at GBMC. He was also Director of the GMBC Internal Medicine Residency Program and chaired numerous hospital committees.
Dr. Lansdale views his association with Ivory House Health Services as an extension of his interest in geriatric medicine and commitment to providing a high quality of care for his older patients. “I have always enjoyed the privilege of learning the life stories of all my patients, but especially those of my older patients. I believe strongly that nearly all of my older patients wish to stay safely and comfortably in their homes, supported when necessary by caring, professional health services personnel. In large measure, my most important job is trying to prevent my patients from having to be hospitalized. My affiliation with Ivory House Health Services gives me the opportunity to have a broader influence in assuring quality care management for seniors in the Baltimore Region.
“We at Ivory House Health Services are delighted that Dr. Lansdale has decided to join us. We are dedicated to providing our clients with the highest possible quality of care and believe that our clinical skills will only be enhanced by having a physician of Dr. Lansdale’s caliber and experience working with us,” said Hazel Kuchinsky, President of Ivory House Health Services.
