Boonsboro, MD -Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro, MD, proudly presents the first-ever Celebrity Autograph Quilt and Wall Hangings at an exhibit to be held on Sunday, April 1, 2007 from noon to 3 p.m. The exhibit is free to the public and will be held on the premises of Fahrney-Keedy located at 8507 Mapleville Road in the lobby of the main building.

Taking part in this unique fundraiser, is a total of ninety-two celebrities of stage, screen, opera, sports, and music including Charlton Heston, Elizabeth Taylor, James Earl Jones, Lauren Bacall, Hank Williams Jr., and Nascar’s Jimmie Johnson, to name just a few.

Residents of Fahrney-Keedy, ranging in age from 65 to 95, formed an Autograph Quilt Committee in June 2006. They hoped to collect enough autographs on muslin fabric squares to make a quilt. Overwhelming response from Hollywood, The Metropolitan Opera, Nascar, and the Music industry has allowed them to create a Celebrity Autograph Quilt and four Wall Hangings.

All items will be offered to international memorabilia collectors on internet auction beginning April 9, 2007. Proceeds benefit Fahrney-Keedy, a non-profit continuing care retirement community, contributing to the Benevolent fund.
