People on the Move – Pinky O’Neil Awarded Ms. Senior America Honorary Title

Pinky O’Neil of Reston, Virginia, was awarded honorary title of Ms. Senior America at the National Pageant held at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas in November. She was selected Ms. Virginia Senior America in 1996 and has served as State Director for the non-profit national organization for the past 9 years.

Pinky is the National Chair for Public Relations and Development for Ms. Senior America. She coordinates media coverage of the national pageant and conducts workshops on fundraising for state directors. She produced and hosted a Senior America Showcase at the White House in 2000 and performs in MSA Showcases across the country.

Pinky is a motivational speaker and has taught Line Dancing for Fun & Fitness in the Metro Washington area for the past 18 years. In 1997 she was a “Mature Media National Awards Winner’ for her programs for mature audiences. Delegate Kenneth Plum presented Pinky in 2004 with a House Joint Resolution from the Commonwealth of Virginia General Assemble commending her for “leadership of the Ms. Virginia Senior America Pageant.” She has received numerous accolades from senior groups and community centers in the area.
