People on the Move – Marti Bailey, Sibley Senior Association
Sibley Memorial Hospital would like to thank Julie Potter for her years of service to Sibley Memorial Hospital and welcome Marti Bailey to her new Coordinator role at Sibley.
Sibley Memorial Hospital announces the appointment of Marti Bailey as the new Coordinator of the Sibley Senior Association and Community Health. Marti will begin her new duties on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.
She will be responsible for the management and daily operations of the SSA and Widowed Persons Outreach (WPO). Marti will collaborate with department managers, education and training, medical staff, and the community to identify, develop and implement appropriate new services for the senior program and continue to support community health.
Marti has a BS in Business Administration (minor in communications and pastoral care) and is currently pursuing graduate work in Aging Services. She is a Certified Senior Advisor and is a trainer and speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association. She was the Director of Community Relations at Grand Oaks Assisted Living for the past 4.5 years. Previously, Marti also worked to
educate and provide hospice resources to the community. Her experience in helping older adults and families navigate tough decisions will be an asset to Sibley and our community.
Marti is passionate about seniors and partners with them to have a purpose, passion and pleasure in life. She will continue to expand and improve our community services for the Senior Association, Widowed Person’s Outreach and other community health programs at Sibley.
