People on the Move – KNOLLWOOD TEAM MEMBER HONORED AS NURSE OF THE YEAR
For the second time in just three years, a dedicated employee of Knollwood/Army Distaff Foundation has been honored as Nurse of the Year by the District of Columbia Health Care Association. Mrs. Vasanthi Daniel, RN, is the “quiet leader” in the Health Services Center, working tirelessly as the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator. Her innovative ideas, focus and experience command respect from her colleagues, as well as appreciation from residents and their families. She spends a great deal of time thinking of ways to implement new ideas in order to enhance the residents’ quality of life, not just from a nurse’s point of view but from a universal worker’s point of view.
The Knollwood staff congratulates this invaluable team member and DCHCA Nurse of the Year, Mrs. Vasanthi Daniel.
Knollwood is a continuing care community for retired career military officers and their female relatives. For more information, contact Kristina Vest, Director of Admissions and Marketing, at 202-541-0149 or visit www.armydistaff.org.
