People on the Move – Keswick Management LLC To Manage and Provide Home Health Care Services
Agreement expands Keswick’s strategic growth and corporate presence within Baltimore senior care community
Baltimore, Md. (February 4, 2008) — Keswick Multi-Care Center, a long-term care facility in north Baltimore, has announced the creation of Keswick Management LLC, which has entered into an agreement with Brightwood Club Association, Inc. to provide management, home health care and nursing services to the residents of Brightwood. This agreement furthers Keswick’s core mission of providing consistent, high-level, quality care to seniors within the community, and represents the first time Keswick will provide management services to a senior care facility.
“Brightwood is an outstanding, innovative community and we are proud to partner with them in this initiative,” said Libby Bowerman, CEO of Keswick Multi-Care Center. “Our affiliation with Brightwood continues Keswick’s mission to expand our presence beyond the 40th Street campus.”
The management agreement between Keswick and Brightwood states that Keswick will provide services for the management, operation and maintenance of the residential complex that includes transportation for Brightwood residents, 24-hour emergency response, housekeeping and laundry services, grounds and facilities maintenance, as well as dining room operations. Under the health care agreement, Hillary Don, M.D., a Keswick attending physician, will serve as Brightwood’s medical director, supporting initiatives such as first aid care, resident admission to Keswick, advocacy, patient education and intervention regarding safety and wellness issues. Keswick will also provide home health care services by certified nursing assistants, as contracted by Brightwood residents.
“We are delighted to join forces with Keswick, a long-respected health care institution within the Baltimore community,” said George Riepe, president of Brightwood’s Board of Directors. “We have already seen the benefits of this new relationship as seniors have shown an increased interest in Brightwood thanks to our affiliation with Keswick.”
Brightwood is a gated, independent retirement community near Greenspring Valley, with 80 condominium residences. Brightwood offers its residents a host of amenities that include a communal dining room with dinner served daily; a fitness center and putting green; a beauty and barber shop; and an array of concierge services.
