Iona Senior Services announced two new appointments to Practice Development Manager and Social Worker in the Adult Day Health Wellness and Arts Center.
William Amt, MSW, LICSW, was recently appointed as Iona Senior Service’s Practice Development Manager. In this newly created position, Bill will be developing partnerships with and promoting Iona’s programs to other organizations and professionals interested in better serving the needs of older adults and their caregivers. He will also be joining Iona’s team of licensed psychotherapists who address the counseling needs of seniors and caregivers, as well as administering the mental health program. Prior to starting his new position, Bill was the Social Worker for Iona’s Adult Day Health, Wellness & Arts Center for over two years. He holds a Master of Social Work degree from Catholic University and previously spent 20 years working in international development and association management.
Angela Johnson, MSW, LGSW was appointed Social Worker in Adult Day Health, Wellness and Arts Center. Angela’s experience includes work as a Sexual Assault Response and Awareness Advocate for the City of Alexandria, a Social Work Intern with Iona, and Crisis Counselor at Jordan House at So Others Might Eat.
