People on the Move – Health Survey Shows Quality Care at Collington

The office of Health Care Quality  recently conducted its annual recertification survey at Collington.  Survey results showed only 2 minor deficiencies not related to quality of care. The average number of deficiencies cited during a Maryland Recertification survey is 11 according to the Medicare.Gov website. This survey shows a great accomplishment by all of the Collington staff and is key to maintaining Collington’s 5-star rating through CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services).

“As the former Health and Human Services Director for Prince George’s County, I have had the opportunity to review many health inspection reports.  These results are remarkable.  The staff is to be commended for the manner in which they care for our residents through Collington’s Health Care program, “states James A. Dula, PhD, current board member of Collington Episcopal Life Care Retirement Community.

A not-for-profit Life Care community, Collington provides for all their residents unlimited access to nursing care – including assisted living, recuperative care, memory care and long-term care if needed.  The 5-star rating is a coveted distinction not easily earned.
