39-year-old home care company offers new alternative for clients

Family & Nursing Care announces the launch of Legacy Home Care, which offers an alternative approach to the Consumer Directed model of home care that Family & Nursing Care pioneered and has used since Sandy Kursban founded the company in 1968. Legacy Home Care operates using the Agency Directed model of home care which offers a more clinical approach in providing care. Nurses oversee the care that every client receives. Licensed through the Department of Health, Legacy Home Care offers the following benefits to its clients:
– Plan of Care created by an RN
– All Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) supervised by an RN
– All caregivers are employees and receive continuous training
– Long Term Care Insurance companies are billed as a courtesy

Family & Nursing Care continues to operate using the Consumer Directed model of home care, offering to its clients the following benefits:
– Lower cost to consumer
– Clients make the decisions
– Greater continuity of care
“Our clients are becoming more educated; we are finding that they prefer choices on how care is provided. We are committed to ensuring that both companies offer only the highest quality of care, and that care is delivered in the method appropriate for each individual client,” said Sandy Kursban.
For both Legacy Home Care and Family & Nursing Care, service is individually customized to the client’s needs — hourly or live-in home care, short term or ongoing needs are met. Coordinators are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Founded in 1968, Family & Nursing Care helps those who wish to remain independent and would benefit from outside assistance. Through Legacy Home Care, yet one more option is available to meet the needs of clients and their families.
