Family & Nursing Care Announces Launch of New Foundation
to Tackle Health Care Crisis Company also Celebrating its Fortieth Anniversary
Silver Spring, Maryland – Family & Nursing Care, Inc. is launching the Family & Nursing Care Foundation to provide much-needed scholarship opportunities for nurse and home-care aide training. The Foundation will also provide financial support to low-income elders who prefer to remain in the safety and comfort of their own homes. The Company is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month.
The aging of the U.S. population, combined with the shortage of caregivers, is the stimulus driving the need for the Foundation’s work:

FACT – During the next six years, the number of Americans over the age of 85 is estimated to grow from just over four million to almost six million. United States Census Bureau
FACT – Currently, there are approximately 84,000 centenarians in the United States, a number that is expected to increase to more than 580,000 by 2040. United States Census Bureau
