Chevy Chase, MD — City Nurses President and founder, Susan Rodgers, RN, is delighted to announce the addition of new positions and staff to this community resource.

Tricia Hanson has joined the team in the newly created position as Director of Business Development. Ms. Hanson has worked in health services and long-term care for the past 15 years. She most recently was a Marketing Manager for MedStar Health Visiting Nurse Association’s skilled home health services. Previously, Ms. Hanson worked at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington as their Marketing Specialist, and was an active committee chair with the Alzheimers’ Association Memory Walk. She is a board member of GROWS (the Grass Roots Organization for the Well-Being of Seniors), co-chair of the Senior Services Awareness Committee, and recently received a certificate from the George Mason University SAGE program in geriatric health. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Capital City Nurses also welcomes Brian Rodgers in the new capacity of Vice President of Operations. Brian, the son of President Susan Rodgers, returns to work in the successful family-run business after spending the past ten years in academia working as a school administrator, teacher, and coach. He is a graduate of Cornell University and is currently completing a Master’s Degree at Georgetown University. Mr. Rodgers is also an active volunteer with Helping Hands and several youth sports activities.

Susan Rodgers reflects that, “Over the years, business has grown primarily through positive client experience and word-of-mouth advertising. With the exponential increase in home care agencies in our area, it was time to bring someone on like Tricia with her extensive experience and healthcare marketing skills to promote our 30-year reputation for quality care and services. We in operations can now remain focused on delivering the actual services. In that regard, we are also fortunate to have Brian, with his years of official and unoffical involvement and dedication to the business, return full time to add his unique leadership abilities to the expanding team of coordinators and caregivers.”

Capital City Nurses is a private duty nursing and companion care agency that was established in Chevy Chase, Maryland in 1976.
