Organizational Partners Sought to Research Boomer/Senior Attitudes

As Baby Boomers and seniors become more wired, leading mature marketing agency Creating Results ( is updating its national research project, Social, Silver Surfers, which examined the attitudes of older users towards websites and social media.

Social, Silver Surfers research was first conducted in 2010. The findings and related action items were captured in an eBook that has been downloaded hundreds of times by those marketing to 40+ consumers. Participants included residents and homeowners at some of the nation’s leading continuing care retirement and active adult communities, as well as consumers relevant to a variety of industries.

What’s Involved: Research Partnership Opportunity
Creating Results is seeking organizational partners for the 2013 research update. Partners will be asked to share links to short, online surveys with their own networks of mature prospects, customers, and supporters. The agency is providing graphics, pre-written emails and other tools to make it easy for partners to encourage participation by their community members.

Data will be collected in-person and online through April 15, 2013. Findings will be shared with partner organizations first, and then with the public, beginning in June of 2013. To find out more about partnering, contact [email protected]

The Social, Silver Surfers 2013 effort includes two online surveys:  – Questions related to website usability, pet peeves and favorite features.  – Focusing on social media attitudes, such as what members of the Gen X, Baby Boom and Silent generations want in exchange for “liking” or following a brand on social platforms.
