Maryland Nursing Home Operators Lobby for Tax Increase

In the last two years, Maryland has cut $180 million from its Medicaid budget, while operating costs and the demand for long-term care have expanded.

More than 100 nursing home operators throughout the state are lobbying for a tax increase on their own facilities because many believe it’s the only way they’ll survive.
