Description: The George Mason College of Health and Human Services will host best selling author Gail Sheehy and a panel of long term care experts as part of a free event to discuss issues confronting the nation’s more than 50 million family caregivers of older adults.
The June 9th event, “Passages in Caregiving: Resources and Technology for the Next Generation Caregiver”, will include a panel discussion in the university’s Johnson Center Cinema from 2:00- 3:30 PM. The discussion will be followed by a signing by Ms. Sheehy of her new book, Passages in Caregiving, in the Cinema Lobby from 3:45-4:30 PM. The book was released May 6th by Harper Collins Press and will be made available for sale at the event by the George Mason University Bookstore. Both the panel discussion and book signing are open to the public.
The panel will be moderated by Steve Gurney – Publisher of the Guide To Retirement Living and include Ms. Sheehy, Buckley Fricker – President of Buckley’s For Seniors, LLC ,and Andrew Carle – Director of the George Mason University Program in Assisted Living/Senior Housing Administration. Both Ms. Fricker and Mr. Carle are featured in Passages in Caregiving.
