This week the PBS Show Frontline focused on assisted living industry. The program is result of a yearlong inquiry with the investigative journalism nonprofit ProPublica. The program reveals serious problems with the way elderly residents – many with dementia – are cared for and supervised in some of the nation’s roughly 30,000 assisted living facilities.
