ProAging Members:

Wednesday, April 16, 2008 is National Healthcare Decisions Day. Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith and the Baltimore County Department of Aging cordially invite you to attend a press conference to announce Five Wishes (Advance Directive). The Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Laurence Merlis, President & CEO of GBMC Healthcare, have agreed to host this special event.

Five Wishes is an easy-to-use legal document that is unique in our state and among all other living wills because it provides the opportunity to express all of one’s needs: medical, personal, emotional, and spiritual.

Also, beginning on April 16th, Five Wishes will be available (while supplies last) in all nineteen (19) Baltimore County Department of Aging Senior Centers at no charge. This document is monetarily valued at $5.00.

We look forward to sharing this exciting announcement with you. Please join us at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Emergency Room entrance on April 16th at 1:00 p.m. Parking vouchers will be issued on site the day of the event.
