Featured Speaker: Howard Gleckman
Author of “Caring for Our Parents”
Highly-regarded journalist and author Howard Gleckman is the author of Caring for Our Parents
(St. Martin’s Press, 2009) that looks at how the U.S. delivers and pays for long-term services through the
eyes of the elderly and disabled and the families who care for them. He is also author of the
Caring for Our Parents blog.

Gleckman is a senior researcher at The Urban Institute and a columnist on aging issues for Kaiser Health
News. He was formerly senior correspondent in the Washington bureau of Business Week, a Media Fellow
at the Kaiser Family Foundation and a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College.
