Continuing Education Units Available
Continuing Education Units are expected to be available for social workers, nurses and nursing home administrators for the Baltimore County Department of Aging and Commission on Aging’s Annual “Senior Solutions” Conference: This year’s topic is “Use, Misuse, Abuse-Mysteries and Surprises of Food, Drugs, and Alcohol”, scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 8:00 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center. Also sponsoring the Conference are the Sheppard Pratt Health System and the Johns Hopkins Geriatric Education Center and Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing.
Among the workshop topics are “Alcohol, Marijuana and More- Abuse of Recreational Drugs”, “Using Medications Wisely – When Use of Prescribed and Over-the- Counter Drugs Becomes a Problem”, and “Legal But Unhealthy — Caffeine, Cigarette and Food Addictions.”
