Coming of Age in Maryland Program Announces March Activities
Rockville, Md. – As we age, our needs change, and connections to friends and community change, too. To promote connectedness, four Jewish agencies (the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington, Jewish Social Service Agency, Premier Homecare and the Jewish Council for the Aging) created Coming of Age in Maryland, a new program that brings recreation and social work together in a unique way. Every month exercise, lunch and entertainment at the Rockville JCC, trips to restaurants, museums and theaters, and high quality lectures at nearby venues are offered. A professional social worker is available as a free resource at each event. Funding is provided by the State of Maryland, the Jewish Federation and the United Jewish Endowment Fund. To be added to the monthly mailing list or for more information, please call 301-348-3832. Additional information is also available on the JCC’s website, www.jccgw.org or by calling Beth Shapiro, the program social worker, directly at 301-816-2665.
