CHANGE OF LOCATION FOR Anne Arundel SENIOR PROVIDER GROUP MEETINGS
(Severna Park, MD.) – The May and June meetings of the Senior Provider Group will be moved from the usual site at Wood Memorial Presbyterian Church.
The May 13th meeting will be held at the Severna Park Community Center, 623 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park, MD 21146, (next to Woods Church). For details call 410-647-5843. The keynote speaker will be Ann Morrison, Ph.D., R.N. Dr. Morrison is a clinical nurse specialist Coordinator of the Education Core at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Dr. Morrison is also responsible for the conduct of several clinical drug trails for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease within the Neuropsychiatry and Memory Group of the Department of Psychiatry, and has been providing care to Alzheimer’s patients and their families, as well as directing clinical research for twenty years. Dr. Morrison’s presentation will focus on the latest research findings in Alzheimer’s Disease. She will discuss current medications which are available for the treatment of Alzheimer’s as well as available experimental medications. The breakfast sponsor will be Patriot Network, Medicare Advantage Plans.
The June 10th meeting will be held at Atria Manresa, 85 Manresa Road, Annapolis, MD 21409. From Rt. 50 take exit 27 to Rt. 450 South, Naval Academy, turn right on Boulter’s Way and left onto Manresa Road. For details call 410-349-9529. The June meeting is the Annual Meeting of the organization. A proposed slate of nominees will be presented to the membership, who will, by affirmative vote, elect new directors to fill board vacancies for 2008-2009. A dynamic networking session for members to exchange information and opportunities will follow the brief business meeting.
Both meetings will begin at 8:30 am with coffee and a continental breakfast, business at 9:00, and the program at 9:15.
