The Arlington Commission on Aging is a 15 member, County Board appointed advisory group comprised of individuals who live and/or work in Arlington, and who are interested in and knowledgeable about aging issues and services. At least 50% of the membership must be age 60 or older. The Commission is seeking expressions of interest from persons who would like to serve on the Commission and/or one or more of its committees. (One does not need to be a Commission member to serve on a committee.) The Commission meets monthly at 9:00 a.m. on the 3rd Monday, except in January and February when it meets on the 4th Monday. (There is no meeting in August.) Commission members are also expected to serve on one or more committees. Time commitment is approximately 6 – 8 hours per month.
