Call for Papers/Presenters for Maryland’s Largest Long-Term Care/Senior Care Convention
More than 700 Industry Leaders Expected to Attend Event in Ocean City in September 2010
Columbia, MD – Once again, Maryland’s leading long-term/senior care organizations – the Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM) and LifeSpan Network – will co-host the state’s largest long-term and senior care health convention in Ocean City, Md. from September 28 through October 1, 2010 entitled: Aligning for a Strong Future; A Double Header Event. More than 700 healthcare leaders and professionals are expected to attend the conference. HFAM and LifeSpan are calling for convention presentations for two educational formats: Keynote Sessions and Concurrent Sessions.
Keynote speakers should address topics that interest a large, universal group of senior residential and healthcare professionals from the long-term care provider community and related stakeholders. The keynote sessions attract up to 500 audience members. Concurrent Session speakers address more specific topics and should expect audiences of 50-150 individuals.
Participants include; nursing home/long-term care executives and board members, owners, regional directors, administrators, executive directors, nursing leadership, assisted living managers, social workers, finance/business office personnel, and department managers. Session topics typically include national and state health care policy and legislation, including health care reform, Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement rates, behavior of residents, effective quality assurance, medical legal risks, cost effectiveness, and modern technology integration.
