Baltimore County Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 83-year-old man who apparently walked away from an assisted living home in Arbutus.

James Earl Vanhoy, a resident of the home in the 5100 block of Shelbourne Road, has been missing since 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, police said today. He suffers from bipolar disorder, dementia and other ailments and is on several medications, police said.

He was originally from Bel Air, but has no immediate family in the area, authorities said.

Vanhoy is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, and balding. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket. He also has an unknown type tattoo on his upper right arm, police said.
Anyone with information about Vanhoy is asked to call county police at 410-307-2020.
