Baltimore County Department of Aging and Commission on Aging’s annual “Senior Solutions Conference,”
Registration is currently being accepted for the Baltimore County Department of Aging and Commission on Aging’s annual “Senior Solutions Conference,” scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center. Co-sponsors of this event are the Hospice of Baltimore, Sheppard Pratt Health System, Erickson School of Aging at UMBC, the Johns Hopkins Geriatric Education Center and the Institute for Johns Hopkins Nursing.
The subject of the conference is The Courage to Move Forward: Moving Forward As An Aging Society, and there will be a variety of interesting and thought- provoking topics. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Bill Thomas, founder of the Eden Alternative. Sessions include: The Courage to Make Changes: Let’s Look at Social Security and Medicare, Promoting Positive Aging, Cultural Diversity of the Aging Population, Surviving and Thriving After a Loss, and New Approaches to Treating the Elderly.
