Resident / Staff

A Remarkable Community of Extraordinary People
We're frequently told that the Ingleside at Rock Creek retirement community is actually more like a vibrant neighborhood.  You are invited to meet the neighbors - dynamic, curious, well-traveled, active adults, many of whom have journeyed the world with the military or Foreign Service before choosing to retire here in Washington, D.C. - and find out why they chose Rock Creek.

Ms. Rae Keogh Ingleside Resident since 2009

Rae was born in Grand Island, Nebraska, and grew up primarily in Omaha. She graduated from Vassar College in 1947. Rae met her husband, Tom, when he was an architectural student at Catholic University, and she was at National Cathedral School for Girls. Rae and Tom were married for 59 years before he passed away in 2007. She returned to the DC area when she moved to Ingleside this spring.

Rae has two children and six grandchildren. Her son, who followed his dad as an architect, lives in Charlottesville, VA, and her daughter lives in Denver, CO. She is quite athletic and is an avid walker and golfer with a special claim to fame - 5 holes-in-one! She also plays bridge. In addition to being near her son, 'I looked forward to visiting museums and attending cultural affairs in Washington," says Rae.
