Welcome to Somerford Place located in beautiful Howard County, MD. Somerford Place is designed specifically for residents that have a memory impairment due to dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. Our goal is to promote residents' individuality and maximize their independence in a safe and secured environment.

Somerford has designed a training program exclusively for their staff to educate them about dementia and the aging process.

The training program has three main objectives:
*Make every moment matter for each resident
*Know residents and their particular interests and histories
*Use creative problem-solving for developing effective communication and care.
