When you walk through the front door of Morningside House at Satyr Hill, located in Parkville, you feel like you're at home. You often see happy residents participating in activities in the living room, reading a book in the library, playing dominos in the sunroom, or just sitting and socializing throughout the lobby and surrounding areas. Everything about Satyr Hill feels homey. Several evenings a week musicians entertain the residents and visiting family members. Sing-a-longs attract a large group of residents who are eager to show they remember every word of the songs. There is also an entertainment center on the second floor, which houses a full kitchen often used for baking or resident cooking classes. Residents have stated that they enjoy the opportunity to get back in the kitchen from time to time. Even the outside of the building has a homey feel to it. Morningside House at Satyr Hill is located in a residential neighborhood, up on a hill, away from through traffic. On days when the weather is nice, you will see many residents enjoying the grounds.
