Derstine Run is an affordable residential housing community with age and income qualifications for residency.  You must be at least 62 years old and your present income must fall within one of the set income categories.

Handicap-accessible apartments are available upon verification of medical need.

DERSTINE RUN FINANCIAL INFORMATION

·         No entrance or application fees

·         Apartments leased on monthly basis with rent payable in advance

·         Refundable security deposit due at lease signing

·         Rent is based on adjusted annual income, including, but not limited to:

o   Wages/income

o   Social security/pension

o   Interest on assets

·         Apartments are filled by applicants based on the following categories:

*Rents and income limits are subject to change.

·         Utilities & optional features are not included in rent (utilities are estimated to be $91 per month)

·         Rent will be increased every year by up to 5%

·         Annual income will be re-evaluated annually to ensure continued affordability
