Applewood has a variety of financial programs which can be explained in depth by one of our experienced Lifestyle Counselors. In general, Applewood has two different types of programs: Personal Choice and Lifecare

 

Personal Choice: With the increase in the number of people with Long Term Care Insurance, Applewood’s personal choice plan is designed for them. It is initially less expensive but if assisted living or skilled care is needed, it will be provided at the going market rate when the resident moves to that wing since it is expected that their long term care insurance program will provide additional financial support to cover the cost at that time.

 

Lifecare: Applewood is pleased to be one of just a few New Jersey CCRC’s to be able to provide "Lifecare". This includes future long term care at virtually no additional cost. Should a resident with the lifecare advantage ever need to move to either Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing they are assured of quality healthcare for life for the same monthly fee they are paying independently. So no matter whether their personal health or financial situation changes, they have the peace of mind knowing their future healthcare needs will be assured. Since 1995, Applewood Estates has been continuously accredited by the CARF- Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, the nations’ only accrediting body for continuing care retirement communities. CCAC communities voluntarily meet the highest standards of excellence; submit to regular inspections; care about the residents’ well-being and staff training; and maintain financial accountability and competent administration. Nationally, only 5% of all continuing care retirement communities have met the CARF-CCAC benchmarks for accreditation.
