Helene Hahn, MovingAhead's principal, gained significant personal and practical experience in the relocation field by helping her parents transition to a new lifestyle. She handled all aspects of their affairs, ranging from responsibility for their financial matters to numerous moves and extensive interactions with assisted living, Alzheimer's, and long-term care facilities. Being the sole caregiver for her parents has given Helene the ability to understand and assess the needs of the elderly and families during times of change.

Helene knows that each client has unique needs, and she offers a wide range of services to simplify the transition to a new home, including:

Planning the sale ­ finding a Realtor, staging the home for sale, organizing belongings for sale or moving, arranging shipping and storage

Creating the new home ­ designing home modifications, closets, and floor plans, choosing colors, helping with furniture selection and purchase

Organizing the move ­ coordinating with movers, transferring utilities, cleaning the empty house, arranging furniture in the new home

Settling in the new home ­ unpacking and organizing, placing art and decorations, personal shopping
