About Augsburg Lutheran Home & Village

Augsburg Lutheran Home and Village is the most affordable continuing care senior community in Baltimore County. Nationally accredited, Augsburg is a non-profit continuing care community, featuring independent, assisted, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Nestled on a beautiful, wooded 52-acre campus with a charming chapel and full-time pastor on staff, Augsburg is a leading provider of quality senior living, putting people before profits.

Our INDEPENDENT LIVING apartments feature a variety of floor plans including an extra large two bedroom and a one bedroom, with den and 1 ½ baths. Amenities include a convenience store, a health suite for doctor’s visits, beauty/barber shop, fitness room, and a beautifully appointed café. Among the things that make Augsburg a distinctly different senior living community is the family atmosphere that pervades this close-knit community. Apartments are connected through interior walkways which provide easy access to other areas in the facility. Residents are able to worship, volunteer, exercise, enjoy planned activities, and meet and greet each other whether they are in independent living, assisted living or the Health Center.

Our ASSISTED LIVING encourages and facilitates independence, while providing assistance with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and administering medications. With the required level of nursing and support staff available around the clock for any emergencies that might arise, we are committed to helping residents maintain their health and happiness. Amenities include three meals daily; laundry, linen, and housekeeping services; a recreation-activity program; the use of a library, a game parlor, kitchenettes, and other common areas, all of which are provided within a charming, safe, secure environment. Private rooms with private baths as well as rooms with shared bathing accommodations are available. Our staff carefully assesses a resident's abilities and desires to ensure the right combination of assistance and independence.

With independent and assisted living, Augsburg always offers an 80% refund of your entrance deposit.

Our new HEALTH CENTER offers 24/7 skilled nursing care, rehabilitation and respite services. The center is designed in a progressive neighborhood model. Each of the six neighborhoods are equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen, living room with fireplace, cheerful sunroom, inviting dining area, and spacious resident rooms. Each floor is also equipped with a high-tech spa that features a flat screen TV and an easy-access whirlpool tub. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items such as pictures to make their stay feel more like home. All nursing care residents benefit from a variety of therapies, activities and spiritual care. A secure unit is dedicated to caring for those with memory and cognitive impairments.

          Maggie Rollman

Maggie learned about Augsburg Lutheran Village, a faith-based independent senior living community, from her association with the Lutheran church. She remains a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baltimore where she was baptized about 100 years ago. Her mother also lived at the community in 1951.

          Joan Orso
Joan concludes, "It was only after we moved to the Village that I realized how important community was to me. I've always been incredibly social, and I've always been surrounded by people, so it was really frightening for me to think about potentially being isolated while caring for Paul. Everyone here is so friendly; there is really a sense of family here, and I've never felt alone."
