Job Description:

The Recreation Associate assists in providing a therapeutic activity program for residents. The purpose of this program is to meet the physical, psychosocial and spiritual well-being of the residents of St. Elizabeth and to assist residents to function at the highest level of independence possible. The Recreation Associate prepares and conducts assigned therapeutic activities, encouraging residents to participate, provides an appropriate environment for programs including set-ups, safety measures, decorations, sensory cues, etc. Transports residents to and from activities, maintains attendance records for each resident according to department protocol, maintains inventory of supplies and advises Director of needs,develops and maintains professional relationship with residents, families and staff to stay abreast of resident needs, and works with volunteers and groups who provide activity programs for the residents.

Requires: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 year experience working in Long Term Care Dementia environment preferred.

Full time position – Schedule Varies; must be available to work all days of the week
