How you will serve our residents and our community:

  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.

  • Selects, builds, coaches and supervises a team of vibrant, engaging, high quality service delivery associates (SRAs, RAs, MedTechs).

  • Works collaboratively with the community leadership team and external partners to ensure that residents' needs are met.

  • Conducts routine rounds of the whole community; is visible and accessible to associates, has direct day to day oversight over the delivery of Resident Services (i.e. ADLs) within the community.

  • Develops, maintains and adjusts community wide resident care and service delivery team master schedules to ensure sufficient staffing to meet BVSL service standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Participates in the initial and ongoing resident assessment data gathering process to identify resident service needs.

  • Assists in development of the Resident Service Plan; facilitates and implements the plan with staff; provides feedback to the HSD as to the effectiveness of the plan; may recommend revisions.

  • In conjunction with the HSD and ED, initiates, schedules and participates in regular resident/family meetings to ensure resident’s needs are identified, documented and met and all parties are appropriately informed.

  • Understands and recognizes resident changes in condition and notifies appropriate parties.

  • Establishes, monitors and adheres to BVSL systems, policies, processes and practices to ensure services are provided effectively and efficiently.

  • Works closely with peers, supervisor, vendors, health care and community service providers and groups.

  • Recruits, interviews, hires and directly supervises all service delivery associates (SRAs, RAs) Actively coaches and mentors team members; ensures timely and consistent written performance evaluations; provides supportive and corrective feedback as appropriate.

  • Participates in the planning and execution of new hire orientation, monthly in service trainings and facilitates a monthly resident services team staff meeting.

  • Serves as the Lead Department Director/manager in charge of the administrative and managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Director.

  • Participates in budget preparations and manages the department labor and service delivery expenses.

  • Actively contributes to the internal community sales process and participates in external community networking and outreach.

  • Effectively administers and participates in Brightview’s “Manager on Duty” program.

  • Other duties as assigned.



Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly manages the resident service delivery team consisting of Resident Assistants, Senior Resident Assistants and Medication Technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BVSL policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
With our residents in mind, the right candidate will have:



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.

  • College degree and management experience may be required per state requirements.

  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience, preferably in a 24 x 7, health care and/or senior living environment.

  • Solid computer and keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of associates, residents and family members.

  • Ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues.

  • Ability to function as a team leader as well as work as a contributor in a team environment.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.

  • Strong customer orientation to older adults.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
