How you will serve our residents and our community:



  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation and Success in all activities and interactions.

  • In coordination with operations team, identify renovation, refurbishment, and purchasing opportunities which will improve physical asset and have a positive ROI.

  • Plan, document and execute routine annual and long-range capital investment process in support of existing Brightview Senior Living communities.

  • Confer with community leaders, operations, subject matter experts and other appropriate parties to determine purpose, function, needs and preferences for space; make recommendations and work collaboratively to accomplish collective vision and goals.

  • Manage all phases of renovation projects including defining project needs and scope, developing project plan and budget, coordinating design, sourcing and managing vendors, punch out and final project delivery.

  • Establish disciplined project plans and deliverable schedules for all projects and closely manage throughout to ensure deliverable obligations are met; develop mechanisms to report on progress and keep operations and other internal partners current on project status.

  • Manage all third party sources and contracts during the design and construction phases. Maintain detailed familiarity with all contracts, construction documents, revisions and change orders and manage toward compliance. Maintain accurate, detailed and organized project files.

  • Conduct regular job site visits to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Identify potential problems and take appropriate corrective actions.

  • Review, approve, and manage payment of all invoices.

  • Participate in the continuous refinement of Brightview design and product standards and assure compliance on a project by project basis.

  • Source vendors for FFE and OSE purchasing; create and maintain preferred vendor list for contractors, maintenance, trades, and repair sources.

  • Share best practices and lessons learned with the home office development team, fellow project directors, and Brightview operations team in order to promote continuous product and process improvement.

  • Assist with the production of preventive processes and schedules to minimize full renovation needs.

  • Identify cost savings and synergistic opportunities with Shelter Properties and Shelter Development through consolidation of vendors, contract negotiation, and sourcing of new vendors.

  • Other duties as assigned.





With our residents in mind, the right candidate will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Architecture/Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, Technical Services, or a related discipline and a minimum of five years’ experience in same or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of construction and interior design materials, finishes, furniture, fabrics, specifications and pricing.

  • Excellent Project Management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Ability to direct the work of others without a direct reporting relationship.

  • Ability to develop and manage to a financial project budget.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of internal and external business partners.

  • Ability to apply reason, logic and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex issues.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high volume environment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
