Position Summary: Coordinates and manages the Nursing program, enabling residents to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. This position reports to the Executive Director and directs the caregiver and nursing staff.

Essential Functions:
X    Directly oversees the delivery of care to residents to ensure that emotional,
X    physical, psychological and safety needs are met through all program services and
X    activities.
X    Must be On Call and available by telephone 24/7.
X    Coordinates any family/resident care conferences and serves as a direct liaison between residents, families, and staff.
X    Assesses potential residents for assisted living level of care.
X    Assesses residents returning from leave of absence for appropriate placement and level of care.
X    Writes and reviews resident assessments and care plans with consultation from the Wellness Nurse and any other appropriate staff.
X    Plans and schedules staff training programs and inservice for the nursing and caregiver staff.
X    Ensures compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
X    Ensures that all accident and incident reports are completed, filed and that follow-ups are conducted appropriately.
X    Manages and coordinates the work of all nursing and caregiver staff, communicating pertinent resident health and safety information.
X    Ensures, along with the Activity Director, that a full schedule of events, activities and programs are in place to meet residents¡¦ needs.
X    Maintains all required records according to Spring Hills, LLC policies and state regulations.
X    Is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures and responds to emergencies in a timely fashion.
X    Hires, trains, evaluates, disciplines and terminates departmental associates in accordance with Spring Hills, LLC Human Resources Policies.

Non-Essential Functions:
X    Participates in the Manager-On-Duty Program.
X    Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
X    Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
X    Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
X    Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills, LLC.
X    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
X     RN or LPN
X    A Bachelor¡¦s Degree from a four-year college or university; two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
X    Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, to be flexible, to work well with many interruptions and have skill in multi-tasking.
