The 8th Annual Upper Shore Caregiver’s Conference will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012, at the Amy Lynn Ferris Adult Activity Center in Chestertown from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm in recognition of November as National Caregiving Support Month. The theme for this year’s conference is “Coping with the Realities of Caregiving”.
The conference is presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, the Queen Anne’s County Department of Aging, and Upper Shore Aging, Inc.
Featured speakers include Patrick Shanahan, MD, Medical Director of Chester River Home Care and Hospice and a Chestertown family physician, who will discuss “Partnering with Your Doctor: What to Say and What to Ask.” Also featured is Allan Anderson, MD, Medical Director of the Samuel and Alexia Bratton Memorial Clinic in Easton, who is presenting “Clinical Trials and Pharmacologic Treatments for Alzheimer’s: Past, Present and Future.” Jane Anthony, Queen Anne’s County Area Agency on Aging & Mary Fridley, RN will be presenting as well.
