Celebrate! Gaithersburg, a lively street festival now in its 33rd year in and around Summit and Diamond Avenues in Olde Towne, kicks off the summer with music, entertainment, fun, and food for all ages. This year’s festival will feature a Taste of Gaithersburg, giving visitors a chance to savor the many flavors of Gaithersburg’s eateries. It takes place on Sunday, June 14 from noon to 5 p.m. Festival admission and parking are free, with shuttle service from Lakeforest Mall.
Enjoy delicious offerings for every palate at the Taste of Gaithersburg, showcasing a diversity of local cuisine. With a variety of portion sizes and prices starting at $1.25, you can enjoy samples from many of the restaurants in Gaithersburg’s growing foodie scene. Taste tickets (four for $5) will be sold onsite on the day of the event.
Participating restaurants include Asia Nine, BC Steakhouse, The Bench Kitchen, Bar and Lakeside Patio, B.F. Saul Catering/Holiday Inn Gaithersburg, Brasserie Beck Kentlands, Cafe Deluxe, Chop’t Creative Salad Company, Coastal Flats, Copper Canyon Grill, The Melting Pot, Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Whole Foods.
Come for the food, stay for the music! There’s a lot more to enjoy at Celebrate! Gaithersburg. The free event features Bluegrass legends The Seldom Scene, Dogfish Head beer, a steampunk art exhibit, antique car show, nature and gardening demonstrations, family amusements and activities, and much, much more.
