The program is designed for all clergy to learn more about palliative care and how to discuss the topic with parishioners. Speakers include Simeone Frost, RN, CHPN, Director of Education, Jewish Social Services Agency, Dr. Elisa Gil-Pires, Vice President Medical Affairs/Medical Director, Charles E. Smith Life Communities and Chaplain Lynn Sifrit, MDiv, BCC, Montgomery Hospice.
Ongoing changes in medical care are making palliative care a significant option for people who are chronically ill. The program will focus on the nature of palliative care (as distinct from hospice), and show you how you can provide pastoral support to parishioners who opt for it.
